Hi imf,
thank you for posting happy
IPTC support is already on our task list an we will probably implement this after the next stable release.

Kind regards,
Bleker

Hi Xathloc,
IPTC support was not scheduled for this version, because we put our focus on geo tagging features.
But I am confident that it will integrated in one of the next major releases, though we are not sure if it will be a free feature or commercial one (maybe together with RAW format support).

Kind regards,
Bleker

I can see, but before stable release I would like to see it "in action" :)
You wrote about "commercial version". For me location addon is useless, but IPTC tags are solid part of my needs. Are you thinking about few levels of "pack"? I think, many photographers look for software like Pictomio and would like to buy it but never ever use "trip map", for me much more useful is possibilty to index photos on CD/DVDs, external HDDs or Pendrives without import it on internal HD (just thumnbnails are making locally, Picajet likes'). ATM the most weakness of Pictomio is I have to connect my external drive to see prevs on it or even find a place via tags,

Hi Xathloc,
if we sell features like IPTC and RAW support we won't bundle it with the pictogeo addon. The pictogeo addon is only needed if you want to use geotagging blink

you have to activate "show offline files" in your filter options to do that.

Kind regards,
Bleker

WOW! It's amazing. Exactly what I need!
I am walking on the bourning groud, it's a really hard piece of software.
Now I need only RAW preview, IPTC tags, managing list of excluded folders and some tools to manage database and you can send me an invoice ;)

greetings

I have looked at many photo managment apps - yours is one of the best.
Lacking only: IPTC data view and edit. (as offered for EXIF)
As I understand you currently store the Annotation and rating (and category) info in a database.
If this were stored to the IPTC tag it would enable others to see this info with whatever suitable viewer they have.
Even if they have Pictomio they would not see this info currently.

Also please remember us poor third world types with expensive and limited internet access - a downloadable help file would be great.
all the best
Claude
